COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Salem University women's tennis team downed Benedict 6-1, Sunday afternoon.
With the win, the Tigers improve to 8-2 on the season.
In doubles, at No.2, freshman
Karolina Glowinska and classmate
Ana Kunic defeated Benedict's Simms and Zelaya 6-1, while at No. 3 doubles freshman
Iryna Rusyn and sophomore
Kristina Vuksanovic won by default.
In singles, freshman
Julia Piatek downed Matsiwe 6-2, 6-1 at No.1, Rusyn picked up the 6-4, 6-4 win over Izakova at No.2 and Vuksanovic won 6-0, 6-1 over Simms at No. 3.
Kunic and Glowinska each won by default.
The Tigers are back in action Thursday as they will face Elizabeth City.
