BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Salem University women's water polo team fell to California State East Bay 12-7 and defeated Mercyhurst 11-5, Saturday afternoon.
In the matchup with East Bay, freshman
Chloe Woodbine led the way for the Tigers as she tallied four goals.

Beatrice Popescu each added one goal, while freshman
Tanya Lopez dished out three assists.
Salem fell behind early as it trailed East Bay 6-2 after the first two periods. The Tigers outscored East Bay 4-3 in the fourth period.
In the second game, Salem defeated Mercyhurst for the second time this season.
Garibbo led the way offensively for the Tigers as she produced a game-high four goals, while freshman
Annefleur ten Bloemendal added three goals.
Woodbine tossed-in two goals, while Antoniou and freshman
Erin Zappia each scored one goal.
Freshman goalie
Philippa Piper recorded 12 saves with just five goals against.
Salem and Mercyhurst were tied 1-1 at the end of the first period, but the Tigers let loose in the second period and added five goals to Mercyhurst's one.
Salem led 6-2 after two periods played.
The Tigers maintained the lead in the second half to secure the win.
Salem is back in action tomorrow as it matches up with California State Northridge at 9:20 a.m. and Wagner at 3:10 p.m.
