ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – The Salem University women's tennis team picked up their sixth-straight win after defeating Elizabeth City 7-0, Friday afternoon.
In doubles, freshman
Karolina Glowinska and sophomore
Brianna Vasquez downed Neto and Williams 6-2 at No. 1, while freshman
Ana Kunic and sophomore
Kristina Vuksanovic defeated Kearney and Hinton-Lewis 6-0 at No. 2. Salem also earned a default win in doubles over the Vikings.
For singles, at No. 1 freshman
Julia Piatek earned a win against Neto 6-1, 6-0. Glowinska claimed victory over Kearney 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2.
Kunic defeated Vikings' Oo 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 in singles, while at No. 4 freshman
Iryna Rusyn swept Williams 6-0, 6-0.
Vuksanovic gained another point for the Tigers with a win over Hinton Lewis 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5.
Vasquez got a default win in No. 6 of the singles, giving the Tigers the shut-out.
The Tigers travel to Davis & Elkins on Tuesday for a match with the Senators at 3:00 p.m.
