SALEM, W.Va. – The Salem University women's tennis team notched its third-straight sweep as it swept Edinboro 7-0, Friday afternoon in front of the home crowd.
The win improves the Tigers to 11-2 on the year.
Salem snagged the doubles point as it did not lose one set. Freshman
Karolina Glowinska and classmate
Iryna Rusyn downed Lopez and Batalla 6-0 at No. 1 doubles, while sophomore
Kristina Vuksanovic and freshman
Julia Piatek defeated Vuceonvic and Brenter 6-0 at No. 2 doubles. No. 3 doubles was won by default.
At No. 1 singles, freshman
Ana Kunic won over Lopez 6-4, 6-4, while Rusyn picked up the 6-0, 6-2 win over Batalla at No. 2 singles.
Glowinska downed Vuceonvic 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles, while Vuksanovic swept Brenter 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles.
No. 5 and No. 6 singles were won by default.
The Tigers are back in action Sunday as they travel to Millersville for a match at 1:00 p.m.
