WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Salem University women's tennis team continued its win streak as it defeated The University of the District of Columbia, Wednesday.
This marks the thirteenth-straight win, as the Tigers are 16-2 overall.
The Tigers swiped the doubles point as at No.1 freshman
Ana Kunic and classmate
Karolina Glowinska downed Parn and Skrzypczynska 6-2, while at No.2 freshman
Julia Piatek and sophomore
Kristina Vuksanovic defeated Khomyachenko and Danylova 6-2.
No.3 doubles was a default.
In singles, at No.2 Kunic defeated Skrzypczynska 7-5, 6-2, while at No. 3 freshman
Iryna Rusyn picked up the win over Danylova 6-2, 7-6.
At No.4, Glowinska rolled past Khomyachenko 6-2, 6-1, while at No.5, Vuksanovic won a tough battle 6-4, 7-5 over Castrillon.
The Tigers earned a win at No.6 by default.
Salem is back in action Tuesday as it travels to Bloomsburg for a match at 4:00 p.m.
