SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. –The Salem University women's tennis team picked up its twelfth-straight victory as it swept Shepherd 7-0, Tuesday.
With the win, Salem improves to 15-2 on the year.
Salem earned the doubles point as all three teams won. At No.1 freshman
Iryna Rusyn and sophomore
Brianna Vasquez downed Bruley and Oneal 6-4, at No.2 sophomore
Kristina Vuksanovic and freshman
Karolina Glowinska swept Bock and Scott 6-0 and freshman
Julia Piatek and classmate
Ana Kunic also swept Dean and Preciado Bollo 6-0 at No.3.
At No1. Singles Piatek swept Bock 6-0, 6-0, while at No.2 Kunic defeated Oneal 6-1, 6-0.
Rusyn won 6-2, 6-1 over Scott at No.3, whereas as No.4 Glowinska swept Preciado Bollo 6-0, 6-0.
At No.5 Vuksanovic also swept her opponent Bruley 6-0, 6-0, as at No.6 Vasquez defeated Dean 6-1, 6-2.
The Tigers are back in action tomorrow as they head to the nation's capital for a match against the University of The District of Columbia.
