Men's Soccer Battles Chestnut Hill To Scoreless Draw

Box Score Luis Felipe Ramirez recorded six saves for his first shutout of the season as Salem University battled to a 0-0 draw against Chestnut Hill College in NCAA Division II men's soccer Friday at Philadelphia, Pa. No overtime periods were played due to impending darkness.

Salem (0-2-1) had the first three shots of the match, including a shot on goal by Bas De Waal in the 15th minute. The Tigers held a 4-3 shot advantage at halftime.

The Tigers kept Chestnut Hill (1-1-1) out of the goal in the second half despite being outshot 10-3. Salem's defense did not allow a shot in the final 15 minutes of the contest.

The field's lighting had an automatic shutoff, prompting the stoppage of the match after regulation upon agreement by both coaches.
