Salem (3-1) is playing for the first time since opening the season February 15-16. The Tigers swept a doubleheader at Winston-Salem State University and split a pair at Virginia Union University.
Katrya Traylor and
Chyann Hooker are both batting .400 to lead the Tigers offensively.
Breanna Jimenez and
Kimberly Reckling are batting .333, while Ariana Sanchez has a .300 batting average. In the circle,
Rosey Romick is 2-0 and
Christine Bombardiere is 1-1 with a save. Bombardiere struck out 10 in the Tigers' opener against Winston-Salem State.
Concord (3-2-1) is also playing for the first time in nine days. The Mountain Lions opened their season February 14-16 at the Bearcat/Fleet Invite in Upstate South Carolina.
Salem travels to West Liberty University Sunday, then plays host to Washington Adventist University Monday afternoon in the Tigers' home opener.
