After five consecutive weekends in Pennsylvania, the Salem University women's water polo team ventures further east this weekend as the Tigers travel to Cambridge, Mass., to compete in the
Harvard Invite. Salem (11-8) plays two games Saturday and two games Sunday.

Salem posted a 2-1 record last weekend at the Grove City Invite. The Tigers sandwiched wins over Grove City College and Mercyhurst University around a loss to Division I Virginia Military Institute. After going all of last season (28 games) and the first 12 games of this season without scoring more than 18 goals in a games, the Tigers have eclipsed the 20-goal mark three times in their last seven contests.

Brown (9-1) received votes in this week's CWPA Top 25 Poll. The Bears are playing for the first time since posting wins over Mercyhurst and La Salle University two weeks ago at the Marist Invitational. Salem did not face Brown in 2019 and is playing the Bears for the first time this season.

Siena (5-5) also had last weekend off after suffering a pair of 9-8 losses to Long Island University and St. Francis College-Brooklyn February 22. The Tigers fell to the Saints 15-10 February 16 at the Laker Invitational.

Iona (3-9) posted a 1-3 record last weekend at the 2020 Wolverine Invitational. Two of the Gaels' losses came against No. 7 University of Michigan and No. 22 Bucknell University. Salem did not face Iona in 2019 and Sunday game is this season's first meeting between the two teams.

Cal State-East Bay (5-6) entered the CWPA Top 25 at No. 25 after posting a 2-1 mark at the Tina Finali Invitational last weekend. The Pioneers defeated then-No. 25 California Baptist University and fell to No. 14 Indiana University. The Tigers fell to Cal State-East Bay 6-5 in the first round of the 2019 WWPA Tournament last April.

Salem will have next weekend off and then travel to Springfield, Ohio, March 21 for two games in the Wittenberg Invite. The Tigers face host Wittenberg University and Penn State University-Behrend.
