Lebanon, IL – Salem University men's water polo traveled to McKendree University to compete in four games over the weekend. After dropping the first game, the Tigers bounced back to take the last three.
The Tigers dropped game one against McKendree University 14-6. Ivan Zivojinovic led the Tigers with two goals and one assist. Carson Hicks, Greyson Campbell, Saequan Miller and Petar Leontijevic each had one a piece. Goncalo Silva had six saves and one steal.
The Tigers bounced back to take game two against Mercyhurst University 14-11. Ivan and Nikola Krstonosic combined for six goals and six assists. Chad Rowley, Blake Wind and Hicks netted two goal each with Mike Diaz and Manuel Soto Estela each having one. Julen Alonso had a big game for the Tigers putting up 11 saves and one assist.
In the final game of day one, the Tigers took down Augustana College 18-12. Eight Tigers combined for the 18 goals: Krstonosic with four goals and two assists, Zivojinovic and Hicks with three, Rowley with three goals and one assist, Miller with two, Wind with one, Diaz with one goal and one assists and Estela with one goal and two assists. Duarte Costa had six saves, three assists, and one steal on the day.
The Tigers finished the weekend with a close 11-10 victory over Gannon University with the go-ahead goal in the final minute by Rowley. Miller and Rowley led the scoring for the Tigers with four each. Hicks contributed two with Diaz have one.

The Tigers will be back in action next weekend with two games on Saturday against Massachusetts Institute of Technology at 9 a.m. and Brown University at 5:30 p.m.
