Glenville, WV – Salem University Volleyball battled against Glenville State College in a road game through five sets on Wednesday. 
 
How It Happened

• After dropping the first two sets 25-23 to the Pioneers, the Tigers bounced back to take the third set 26-24 and fourth set 25-11.
• The Tigers found themselves down early in the third set, but quickly tied it up 9-9 from a kill by Danielle Burns.
• Later in the set, the Tigers scored three in a row from two kills by Yesenia Munoz and one from Makhia Hinton to go ahead 20-17.
• The Pioneers tied it up 24-24 late in the set before the Tigers would score the final two points of the game through an error by the Pioneers and a kill from Burns.
• Determined to force a fifth set, the Tigers dominated the fourth set, taking it 25-11.
• Deyaneira Gomez – Salgado, Alycia Rivera, Munoz, Burns, and Nakyia Middleton each collected kills during the fourth set.
• In the fifth set, the Tigers jumped out to an early lead 7-4 after a kill by Hinton.
• The Pioneers rallied back to take the lead 11-9 before the Tigers would score three consecutive to go ahead 12-11.
• After back and forth play, the Tigers tied it up again at 15 from a kill by Hinton before the Pioneers would take the final set 17-15.
