Buckhannon, WV – Salem University Volleyball fell at West Virginian Wesleyan College 3-1 with set scores of 22-25, 14-25, 27-25 and 19-25.

Down by one in the first set, the Tigers went on a five-point run to go ahead 11-7. The Bobcats tied it up at 12 before the Tigers took back the lead 15-12 led by a kill from Makhia Hinton and an ace by Yesenia Munoz. The Bobcats tied it up again at 22 and then scored the next three to take the set.

Both teams battled in the beginning of set two, tying it up 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, and 4-4. The Bobcats went on multiple runs within the set to build a lead of 24-12. The Tigers scored two to make it 24-14 before the Bobcats scored the final point took set two.

The Tigers were down to begin set three but battled back 12-10 with a four-point run led by a kill from Alycia Rivera. The Bobcats went ahead by one late in the set before back-to-back kills from Hinton and Munoz put the Tigers in the lead by one at 25-24. The Bobcats answered back to tie it up at 25 followed by the Tigers scoring the last two points to take set three.

A kill by Nakyia Middleton tie it up at 7-7 in set four. The Bobcats scored two to take back the lead before the Tigers were led by a kill from Hinton and an ace from Lenka Jakovljevic to go ahead 10-9. The Tigers pulled within two late in the set before the Bobcats took set four 25-19.
