Box Score Greensburg, PA – Salem University women's basketball fall in the final seconds against Lock Haven University 81-80 in the Tri-State Thanksgiving Classic at Seton Hill.
Daniela Quesada led the scoring for the Tigers with 17 points followed by Aleena Mongerie and Vantanae Garrett with 14 and Allysa McRae with 12. The Tigers shot 75 percent from the line on the night.
The Tigers fell behind early before Quesada stopped the scoring drought with a three midway through the first quarter. Going into the second down by 11, the Tigers pulled within one after a 7-0 run with three minutes left. The Tigers took their first lead of the night with a layup from Mongerie to go into the half ahead 38-36.
The Tigers built their lead to as many as seven in the third before going into the final quarter trailing 58-54. The Tigers took the lead in the final 30 seconds with free throws from Mongerie before a trip to the line for LHU with two seconds remaining allowed them to come away with the 81-80 win.
