Salem, WV- Salem University men's basketball takes down Seton Hill University 89-61 on Saturday at home.

Stan Smith led the Tigers with 23 points followed by Tobias Howard Jr with 19 and Fonz Hale with 15. Barron Tanner contributed nine rebounds and five points. The Tigers shot 53 percent from the field, 50 percent from the line and 45 percent from the three.

The Tigers quickly built a ten-point lead over the Griffins knocking down four threes in the first five minutes. The Griffins cut the lead to seven before back-to-back threes from S. Smith started an 11-0 run for the Tigers. Howard found Rodney Smith who knocked down the three at the buzzer to take the Tigers into the half with the 45-29 advantage.

The Griffins scored the first five points of the second half to cut the lead down to 11 before the Tigers answered back with eight straight to keep the Griffins from getting any closer for the remainder of the game. The Tigers built their largest lead of the night at 31 in the final minute off a three from Walker Moreland.
