Box Score Vienna, WV – Salem University men's basketball took down Ohio Valley University 116-53 on Tuesday.
Fonz Hale led all scorers with 23 points followed by Stan Smith, in just 11 minutes of play with 22 and Tobias Howard Jr. with 16. Felix Gue led the rebounding on both sides with 14. The Tigers shot 82 percent from the line and 56 percent from the field.
The Tigers jumped ahead midway through the first half with a 23-0 run over the Fighting Scots. A layup from Hale built the Tiger lead to 32 to go into the half 54-22.
The Tigers opened the second half, scoring 24 consecutive points to extend the lead to 56 with 14 minutes remaining. A midrange jumper from Tad Kapek at the five-minute mark gave the Tigers their largest lead over the Fighting Scots, 106-37. Aundre Bills scored the Tiger's final point of the night to come away with the 116-53 victory over the Fighting Scots.
