Ann Arbor, MI- Salem University Women's Water Polo traveled to Michigan on Saturday to play a pair of games against the University of Michigan and Saint Francis University. The Tigers would fall in game one against Michigan 12-7, but would have an emotional final seconds win over Saint Francis 10-9.
Against the University of Michigan, the Tigers would go down 4-1 in the opening quarter and could never quite recover. Annefleur ten Bloomendal led the Tigers with 4 goals against the U of M.
The Tigers utilized their confidence after a great showing against Michigan to take into a third rematch against SFU. Annefleur ten Bloomendal would not only lead the team with 5 goals, she also set up the final goal to lead the Tigers to a 10-9 victory.
Taeghen Hack scored her loan goal of the day to propel Salem to victory in the final seconds.
Salem will have a chance to go against SFU again tomorrow at 12 PM. The Tigers will square off against Indiana University at 3 PM.
