Erie, PA- Salem University Women's Water Polo came out victorious on Saturday, collecting two wins against Mercyhurst University (11-7) and Gannon University (21-12). This extended the Tigers record to 14-11.
In game one, the Tigers quickly jumped ahead 7-1 in the first period and never gave up the lead the rest of the way. Margherita Garibbo led the Tigers with four goals while Annefleur Ten Bloemendal contributed three, Heather Lock with two, and Chloe Woodbine and Lola Gill with one each.
In game two, the Tigers outscored Gannon University 12-5 in the last two periods in route to their 21-12 victory. Seven Tigers scored in game two with Woodbine leading the way with six, Garibbo with four, Courtney O'Shaughnessy with three, Bloemendal and Erin Zappia with two and Morgan Riordan and Jojo DeSalvo with one.
The Tigers will compete against McKendree University tomorrow at 9:45 a.m.
