Salem Athletics Honors Student-Athletes with 2025 Awards Banquet

SALEM, West Virginia - As the majority of Salem Athletics have wrapped up their seasons, the Salem Athletic Department proudly hosted the 2025 Athletics Award Banquet on Thursday night in T. Edward Davis Gymnasium.. It was an exciting night for all the Tigers Student-Athletes with individuals, teams, and staff being honored for their efforts during the 2024-2025 school year. Each award and honoree is listed below:

Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year - Nikola Krstonosic (Men's Water Polo)

Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year - Kiara Barnes (Women's Swimming)

Coach of the Year - Robert Bullion (Men's Water Polo)

Team Community Service Award - Salem Baseball

Male Senior of the Year - Nikola Krstonosic

Female Senior of the Year - Jazmyn Moetului (Softball)

Archie Talley Motivational Award - Ahmad Hijaz (Men's Soccer)

Jack Deloplaine Leadership Award - Ivan Zivojinovic (Men's Water Polo)

Athletic Director's Award for Leadership

    Michael Landeck (Baseball)

    Chloe Owens (Women's Soccer)

    Tommy Sowinski (Men's Soccer)

    David Makupson (Men's Wrestling)

Male Newcomer of the Year - Sean Johnson (Men's Wrestling)

Female Newcomer of the Year - Bella Ortiz (Softball)

Team Performance of the Year - Men's Water Polo

Male Breakthrough Athlete of the Year - Eric Kovach (Baseball)

Female Breakthrough Athlete of the Year - Kendall Lemley (Softball)

Male Comeback Athlete of the Year - Dylan Knight (Men's Wrestling)

Female Comeback Athlete of the Year - Cheyanne Rohde (Women's Swimming)

Male Team Strength and Conditioning Award - Men's Soccer

Female Team Strength and Conditioning Award - Volleyball

Male Team GPA Award - Men's Swimming

Female Team GPA Award - Women's Tennis

 

Salem University Athletics would like to thank all our student-athletes for all their hard work and dedication on and off the field. Additionally, a special thanks to Ashley Thompson, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Advisor, who planned and organized the banquet and awards presentation.
