MORGANTOWN, West Virginia - Over the past 3 days, Salem's women's water polo team has been hosting and competing in the WWPA Championship up at the Aquatic Center at Mylan Park. Teams from across the country collided in Salem's home pool, and the competition was fierce all weekend long. Salem ended up with a 2-1 record in the event, and 5 Tigers were honored for their achievements in the pool this season. Each contest played out as follows:
California State-Monterey Bay 11, Salem 8
For the opening round of competition, Salem faced off with the Otters of California State-Monterey Bay. The first period was particularly action-packed, with the Otters scoring 5 goals to Salem's 4, setting the tone for the rest of the match. The Otters maintained their lead in the second period, scoring four more goals while limiting Salem to just one. Despite a late rally from the Tigers, who scored three goals in the fourth period, the Otters' early advantage proved insurmountable. Therefore, the Tigers fell 11-8. Emma Donnelly led the way for Salem with 3 goals, and Emily Low added 5 saves in goal for Salem.Â
Salem 13, California-Merced 3
After the early loss, Salem bounced back against the Bobcats of California-Merced. It was an offensive showcase for the Tigers, and Salem controlled the contest pretty much from whistle to whistle. The strongest showings from the Tigers came from Iris Oudshoorn and Lucy Bramwell who finished with 3 goals each. Lucy Bramwell also had a solid day with 2 goals and 3 assists. In the case, Morgan Fenner and Emily Low combined to log 4 saves in the contest.Â
Salem 17, Gannon 6
In the final matchup of the weekend, Salem faced off with a familiar foe in the Gannon Golden Knights. It was another huge offensive showing for Salem. Courtney Repinz and Keri Brooks led Salem with 3 goals each, and Lucy Bramwell distributed the ball well to tally 4 assists. In goal, Morgan Fenner and Emily Low tallied up an impressive 13 saves in the win.Â
On top of a winning record for the weekend, 5 Tigers were honored with either all-conference or all-tournament honors for their efforts in the pool this weekend and all season. All are listed here:

While this concludes the season for Salem women's water polo, this event left a lot for the program to be excited and build on in the offseason for the 2026 spring campaign.
