Lauren Reimsnyder Joins Salem Softball as Assistant Coach

SALEM, West Virginia - On top of recently revealing their incoming recruiting class, the Salem Softball program is thrilled to welcome Lauren Reimsnyder as assistant softball coach. Reimsnyder will work directly with Head Coach Steve Potts, and will focus heavily on the Tiger pitching staff.

Lauren is a recent graduate of Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee, where she earned a Bachelor of Health and Human Performance with a concentration in Sports Management and a minor in Biology. During her time at Bethel, she was a four-year collegiate softball player. Lauren was recognized for her achievements both on and off the field, being named a three-year NAIA National Scholar Athlete and a three-year Academic All-Conference. She was also honored as Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Week on February 17, 2024. Impressively, she is in the top 10 of Bethel's record book for several pitching statistics, including career innings pitched, career appearances, and career shutouts.

With 14 years of softball pitching experience, Lauren has a strong background in coaching and mentoring young athletes. She has been giving pitching lessons for the past six years and has most recently worked as a Softball Instructor at The Hitting Academy in Ocala, Florida. In this role, she gave pitching and hitting lessons, assisted with drills and conditioning, and helped athletes with recruitment by reaching out to travel ball coaches.
