Nominations Now Open for Salem Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026

NOMINATE FORMER TIGERS HERE!

SALEM, West Virginia – As the academic year begins to wind down, the Salem University Athletic Department is already looking ahead to one of its most celebrated traditions: the annual induction of a new class into the Salem University Athletics Hall of Fame.

The department has officially opened the nomination process for the Class of 2026, inviting alumni, fans, and members of the Salem community to help recognize the outstanding achievements of former Tigers. The Hall of Fame ceremony is traditionally held in early fall and coincides with the annual Apple Butter Festival in the City of Salem, making it a special weekend for both the university and the local community.

Those wishing to nominate a former Salem student-athlete, coach, or administrator can do so by completing the official Hall of Fame Nomination Form. Nominations will close on May 15th. Nominations submitted after May 15 will be considered for the next year's class (2027).

Nominations are open to all, provided the nominee meets the eligibility requirements. To be considered, individuals must have competed, coached, or worked at Salem University (including its previous iterations: Salem-Teikyo, Salem International, or Salem College) at least seven years ago. However, nominees within that seven-year window will not be eligible for consideration until a full seven-year period has passed.

The Salem University Athletic Department looks forward to celebrating another distinguished class of inductees and encourages broad participation in the nomination process. Additional details regarding the 2026 induction ceremony will be announced at a later date.

Fans and supporters are encouraged to take part in honoring the rich tradition and history of Salem Athletics by submitting nominations and joining the festivities this fall.
