Men's tennis drops season-finale to D&E


ELKINS, W.Va. (April 16) – The Tigers concluded the regular season with an 8-1 loss to Davis & Elkins in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play Saturday afternoon.
 
The Salem International University men's tennis team wraps up the season at 2-21 overall, 0-4 in league play. The team was competing in its first season as a varsity sport since 2009.
 
The freshmen duo of Landon Schultz-Zwahr (Needville, Texas/Needville) and Christian Manalang (Killeen, Texas/Ellison) earned a 9-7 win at No. 1 doubles to pick up the Tigers lone point on the afternoon. The tandem finished the season strong, with wins in each of its final four matches.
