SALEM, W.Va. (April 8) – The Salem International University tennis teams were defeated by Cedarville Friday afternoon at the SIU Tennis Courts. The women were defeated 9-0, while the men fell 8-1 in the matches.
 
The Tigers lone win of the afternoon came at No. 1 doubles in the men's match, where the freshman tandem of Landon Schultz-Zwahr (Needville, Texas/Needville) and Christian Manalang (Killeen, Texas/Ellison) earned an 8-3 win to put Salem International on the scoreboard.
 
The women's team plays tomorrow, Saturday, April 9 for a Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) contest against Ursuline. Both tennis teams play on Sunday, April 10 when they head to Institute, West Virginia to take on West Virginia State in a non-conference matchup.
