CEDARVILLE, OH - The Salem International University men's tennis team paid a visit to Cedarville University on Monday afternoon (Apr. 10), dropping a 9-0 decision against the Yellow Jackets.
FINAL RESULTS
Sophomore
Landon Schultz-Zwahr and
Christian Manalang had the tightest battle of the day for the Tigers at the No.1 doubles position. The duo battled but fell 8-5 against the duo of Matt Brumbaugh and Jonathan Class.
The Yellow Jackets would win each of the other two doubles matches' by 8-0, 8-2 scores.
In singles play, Schultz-Zwahr found himself pitted against Brumbaugh, who would in straight-sets 6-2, 6-3 against the Tigers' No.1 singles player. Cedarville's Alex Totten handed Manalang a 6-1, 6-3 defeat at the No. 2 position.
Sophomore
Eugene Bour saw Cedarville's Joel Clark earn a 6-2, 6-2 victory at the No.4 position, while freshman
Kevin Musasia battled at the No. 3 position but dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision.
The Tigers are scheduled to wrap-up the 2016-17 season on Sunday morning (Apr. 16) at home against Davis & Elkins College. The match between the Tigers and Senators is set to begin at 11 a.m.
