SOUTH CHESTERFIELD, Va. (March 18, 2018) – The Salem University Tigers men's tennis team won its fifth match of the season, defeating Virginia State University 7-2.
The Tigers won two of its three doubles matches, then took five of the six singles competitions.
"The guys played very well," Head Coach
Todd Tucker said. "I was extremely impressed with our focus in doubles today. We have been working very hard on doubles and it showed. It was nice to get a victory over such a great program. The guys deserve a lot of praise for their work on and off the court."
With the win, the Tigers improve to 5-10 on the season. Salem will resume play on the road against West Virginia Wesleyan College.
