The Salem University men's and women's swimming teams posted their second straight sweep with wins over Alderson Broaddus University Friday at Salem University Pool. The Tigers won 171-7 in the men's meet and were victorious 154-33 in the women's meet.

In the men's meet,
Fernando Gomez Perez paced Salem (3-0) with a pair of wins in breaststroke events. Perez took the 100 yard with a time of 1:00.65 and the 200 yard with a time of 2:16.89.
Brady Samuels won the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 48.48 seconds, edging out Tiger teammate
Zach Bell's time of 48.87.

In the women's meet,
Erin Zappia captured a pair of first-place finishes for Salem (2-1). Zappia posted a time of 1:04.90 to win the 100 yard fly and won the 50 yard fly with a time of 26.15 seconds.
Chloe Smart placed second in both events.

The Tigers are back in the pool next Friday as Salem travels to Morgantown, W.Va., to compete in the West Virginia State Games. The event, hosted by West Virginia University, gets underway at 6 p.m.
