Salem University has its final home contest of the 2019 calendar year this afternoon as the Tigers play host to Concord University in NCAA Division II women's basketball. Tip-off is 3 p.m. at T. Edward Davis Gymnasium.

Salem (2-8) nearly pulled off one of its greatest comebacks in school history Saturday, cutting a 25-point deficit down to five before falling to Seton Hill University in the final minutes 91-77.
Nia Bishop scored 15 of her game-high 18 points in the second half to help fuel the comeback.

Bishop (17.4 points per game) is one of four Tigers averaging more than nine points per contest this season.
Daniela Quesada joins Bishop in double figures with at 10.7 average.
Nerea Arambarri Fernandez, who matched a season high with 18 points last week against Alderson Broaddus University, is averaging 9.6 points per game.
Alicia Smith has a 9.4 average.
Endia Jones is the Tigers' top rebounder with 6.5 boards per game.

Concord (7-3) is coming off an 82-55 victory Saturday over Frostburg State.

Salem outrebounded Concord 48-45 in last year's meeting, but fell 90-73.
