COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Salem University men's tennis team earned a 6-1 win over Benedict, Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers improve to 4-2 on the season with the win.
Freshman
Bartosz Losiak and sophomore
Gregor Lainer earned a 6-1 win over Saurmbe and Mutetwa at No.1 doubles, while at No. 2 doubles sophomore
Patryk Garwacki and freshman
Andrzej Urjasz downed Eloise and Ballantyne 6-4.
Urjasz claimed victory over Saurombe 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, while at No. 2 singles Losiak defeated Aleksic 6-1, 6-1.
At No. 3 singles, Garwacki picked up a 7-6, 5-4 victory over Mutetwa, at No. 4 singles Lainer downed Eloise 6-1, 6-1 and at No. 5 singles freshman Sibi Soumahoro won 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 over Ballantyne.
Salem is back in action Saturday as it travels to Bluefield State at 3:00 p.m.
