SALEM, W.Va. - The Salem University men's tennis team defeated Fairmont State 4-1, Wednesday afternoon.
With the win, Salem improves to 5-3.
Fairmont claimed the doubles point, but freshman
Bartosz Losiak and freshman
Andrzej Urjasz defeated Martins and Liddy 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.
At No.1 singles Losiak downed Alves 6-3,6-3, while at No. 2 singles Urjasz picked up the 6-2, 6-3 win over Pachane.
Freshman
Patryk Garwacki defeated Martins 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles, while at No. 4 sophomore
Gregor Lainer claimed the win over Leo 4-6, 6-1, 6-0.
The No. 5 and No. 6 singles were DNF's.
The Tigers remain at home as they host Edinboro this Friday at noon.
