CHARLOTTE, N.C. -The Salem University men's tennis team swept Johnson C. Smith 7-0, Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers swept the doubles point as sophomore
Gregor Lainer and sophomore
Patryk Garwacki downed Johnson and Anderson 6-3 at No.1, freshman
Bartosz Losiak and freshman
Andrzej Urjasz defeated Graves and Lassiter 6-1 at No.2 and senior
Antonio Shaw and senior
Eugene Bour won 6-0 against Hyman and Jefferson at No.3.
In singles, at No.1 Urjasz swept Jefferson 6-0, 6-0, while at No.2 Losiak also swept 6-0, 6-0 over Lopez.
At No.3, Garwacki earned a 6-1, 6-0 win over Johnson, while at No.4 Lanier downed Anderson 6-3, 6-0.
Freshman
Sibi Junior Soumahoro swept 6-0, 6-0 against Lassiter at No.5, while Shaw claimed the 6-3, 6-4 victory over Hyman at No.6.
The Tigers are back on the courts Tuesday as they travel to Shepherd with a noon start.
