SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – The Salem University men's tennis team defeated Shepherd 6-1, Tuesday.
With the win, Salem jumps to 10-5 overall.
The Tigers earned the doubles point as sophomore duo of
Gregor Lainer and
Patryk Garwacki defeated Davis and Dokken 6-4 at No.1, while the Tigers won by default at No.3.
Salem won five of the six singles matches as freshman
Andrzej Urjasz downed Dokken 6-2, 6-0 at No.2, while Garwacki claimed the win over Lochner 6-0, 6-1 at No.3.
At No.4 singles, Lainer swept Cox 6-0, 6-0, while at No.5 freshman
Sibi Junior Soumahoro also swept Ferony 6-0, 6-0.
Salem won by default at No.6.
The Tigers are back in action tomorrow as they head to the nation's capital for a match against the University of The District of Columbia.
