In a battle of NCAA II Atlantic Region women's tennis top five teams, No. 3 Salem University defeated No. 5 Slippery Rock University 4-3 Friday at the PTR Tennis Fest in Hilton Head Island, S.C. Friday's contest was the Tigers' finale at the Tennis Fest.

Salem posted a 3-1 record at the Tennis Fest and has a 5-1 record on the season. The Tigers defeated NCAA II Midwest Region No. 7 Michigan Tech 4-3 and Kutztown University 5-2. Salem's only loss was 4-3 to Chowan University.

Friday's scheduled men's tennis match vs. Assumption College was canceled. Regionally 10th-ranked Salem has a 4-1 season record after going 2-1 at the Tennis Fest. The Tigers defeated Michigan Tech 4-3 and Kutztown University 5-2. Salem fell to Atlantic Region No. 3 Edinboro University 6-1.
