The regionally-ranked Salem University men's and women's tennis teams get a head start on Spring Break this afternoon as the Tigers travel to Charlotte, N.C., to take on Johnson C. Smith University. Match time is 3 p.m.
 
Both Tiger teams have 1-0 records after posting wins over Bloomsburg University last Friday. In the men's match, Atlantic Region No. 10 Salem came from behind for a 4-3 win. In the women's match, the Atlantic Region No. 3 Tigers defeated the No. 10 Huskies 5-2.
 
Both the Johnson C. Smith men's and women's tennis teams have 0-6 records.
 
From Charlotte, the Tigers head further south and east to compete in the PTR Spring Tennis Fest in Hilton Head Island, S.C. Both Tiger teams will face Michigan Tech Saturday and Kutztown University Sunday. Each Salem team has two additional matches next week before concluding play at the Tennis Fest next Friday.
