Emmitsburg, MD- Men's Water Polo returned to action on Friday in a rematch against Mount Saint Mary's. Unfortunately a short handed Salem team ran out of gas in the fourth quarter and fell 18-10.
Petar Leontijevic led the Tigers with 4 goals, while
Ivan Zivojinovic added 3.
Goncalo Silva would have 20 saves in goal while also added 3 steals.
Salem held tight in the first three quarters managing to take a 9-11 margin into the fourth quarter but could not hold momentum. Salem got off to a good start leading 6-4 after the first, but the loss of their teams depth caught up to them in the late stages.
Salem will head to Erie, PA tomorrow where they take on Gannon University and Mercyhurst University.
