Salem University wrestling competed in a pair of duals this week, taking on regional opponents Gannon and Fairmont State. The Tigers picked up two individual victories against Fairmont and saw several strong individual efforts throughout the lineup.
Gannon 52, Salem 0
Nationally ranked Gannon controlled the opening dual, using multiple bonus-point wins to build an insurmountable lead. Salem battled through a tough Golden Knights lineup, highlighted by competitive outings from several starters.

The Tigers bounced back with one of their strongest dual starts of the season, picking up two victories and pushing several matches into the closing moments.

157: Seth Thomas earned the Tigers' first win of the day, taking an 8–4 decision over Jim Green with strong third-period mat control.

165: Seth Holt followed with an impressive 11–3 major decision, scoring multiple takedowns and controlling the pace throughout.
Salem had near-misses in two matches that went to the wire:
At 125 and 174, Ethan Moore and Dylan Knight faced nationally competitive opponents who secured early tech falls. Riley Curran (133) wrestled aggressively before being pinned late in the second period, while Tashawn Coefield (197) went three full periods in a 10–2 major decision.
