FROSTBURG, Md. — Salem University picked up two strong victories in the upper weights, but Frostburg State controlled the majority of the lineup as the Tigers fell in dual action on Thursday night.
The Tigers earned wins at 184 lbs and 285 lbs, highlighted by standout performances from Landon Ristoff and Mikey Lytle.
Tiger Victories
At 184, Landon Ristoff turned in one of Salem's best efforts of the evening, securing a 13–5 major decision over Nick McCarthy. Ristoff set the tone early with pressure on his feet and continued to build momentum throughout the match for bonus points.
At 285, Mikey Lytle closed the dual with a big moment for the Tigers, pinning Frostburg State's Cole Yonkin at 4:47. After battling through early exchanges, Lytle capitalized on a scramble to finish the match by fall.

Salem nearly picked up another win at 125 lbs, where Ethan Moore took Rakan Alabbadi down to the wire before falling in a 6–5 decision.
