SALEM, W.Va. – Salem University is proud to announce the hiring of Hillary Thibodeau as its new Assistant Athletic Trainer. Thibodeau brings a decade of experience in collegiate athletic training, including significant roles at NCAA Division I programs.
A certified athletic trainer since 2015, Thibodeau has previously served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at James Madison University, where she worked with the football and women's golf teams while also overseeing insurance documentation and mentoring student trainers. She also held key positions at the Virginia Military Institute, including as Head Athletic Trainer for the football team and as a clinical preceptor for athletic training students from multiple universities.
A native of Georgia, Thibodeau holds a Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Auburn University. Her clinical interests include injury prevention, rehabilitation, and utilizing advanced techniques such as dry needling and blood flow restriction therapy.

Thibodeau is certified by the Board of Certification and a member of both the National and Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers' Associations. She currently resides in Bridgeport, West Virginia.
