The Tigers hit the road on Friday, Oct. 28 to face Goldey-Beacom at 7 p.m. in WIlmington, Deleware. SIU returns home on Tuesday, November 8 to host Bluefield State for senior day at 6 p.m.
The Tigers were firing on all cylinders in the second set against the Fighting Scots as SIU tallied 15 kills while hitting .294 as a team. Ohio Valley would rally to score the final two-points of the set after the Tigers were able to knot the score 24-24. As a team, the Fighting Scots hit .462 in the set.
Salem International would find itself in yet another tight battle with Ohio Valley in the third set. The Tigers pulled within a point of the Fighting Scots (23-22) before Ohio Valley would put the match away with back-to-back points to secure the 25-22 victory.
Along with her 11 kils, Hess finished the evenong with seven digs and one service ace, while sophomore
Sophie Freihofer recorded a team-high 17 digs to go along with 10 kills for the Tigers.
Freshman
Ashly Holt led the Tigers with 20 assists on the night, while sophomore
Cassidy Pluta tallied seven helpers and 11 digs for SIU.
