Box Score SALEM, W. Va. (Oct. 9, 2017) – The Salem University Tigers women's soccer team lost to Lock Haven University 5-1 at Catalano Stadium.
The Tigers' defense started sluggish, giving up a goal on Lock Haven's first shot attempt of the game, getting a one-on-one opportunity against the goalie after Gabby Kishbaugh broke free on the right side to score a little under two minutes into the match.
Lock Haven got two more quick attack goals, taking a 3-0 lead within the first 15 minutes of the match on scores by Haley Predix and Erika Landis.

Kelsea Freiling, finding the back-left corner of the net.

Emily Pontiakos totaled seven saves in the first half and broke up a few other plays before they could develop, but Lock Haven put up 12 first half shots.
Lock Haven scored another goal less than 10 minutes into the second half on a shot by Emily Vitale. Kishbaugh scored the final goal of the game on a pass from Chelsea Rieppel.
For the match, Lock Haven held a 20-11 advantage in shots, including a 17-5 edge in shots on goal. Pontiakos finished with 12 saves.
With the loss, Salem drops to 3-9 on the season. The Tigers will play again on Oct. 18 against Lincoln Unviersity at Catalano Stadium.
