Salem University Director of Athletics Alex Joseph has named Adam Zelmanowicz the new head coach of the Tigers' women's soccer program.
Zelmanowicz is already a familiar face on campus, having served as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Salem's men's soccer team last season. His addition to the women's program builds on the momentum and relationships he established within the department.
Prior to Salem, Zelmanowicz was the NJCAA Women's Head Soccer Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Glendale Community College. In his first season leading the program, he guided the team to its first conference semifinal appearance in more than 25 years and coached four All-Region selections while recruiting a 25-player incoming class.
He also played a key role in Glendale's nationally ranked men's program, helping the team reach a conference final and semifinal while producing multiple All-Region, All-Conference and All-American honorees.
Zelmanowicz previously led successful high school and club programs, including a state playoff breakthrough at Desert Edge High School and multiple championship runs with Tuzos Academy. A graduate of Nova Southeastern University, he holds a USSF C License.
Zelmanowicz will immediately begin organizing the roster and recruiting efforts as the Tigers prepare for the upcoming season.
