Box Score LINCOLN, Pa. (Nov. 1, 2017) – The Salem University Tigers women's soccer team found success on the road, defeating Lincoln University 5-2.
Elizabeth Tamez was active in the first half, finding
Macy Myers a little under four minutes into the match for the Tigers' first goal and Myers' first goal of the season. Tamez then scored hers first goal of the season 21 minutes in. Lincoln's Kayla Butts found the back of the net at the 36-minute mark to pull her team within 2-1 at the half.
Over the first 45 minutes, both teams attempted 10 shots, with the Tigers showing a little more accuracy, getting eight shots on goal.
In the second half, Salem University scored three consecutive goals to pull away for good.
Jackie Zavala opened the second half with a goal (fourth on the season) less than four minutes in on an assist from
Kelsea Freiling.
Jasmine Seaton then scored two goals within seven minutes of each other for her fifth and sixth goal of the season, the last one coming on one of her patented breakaways. Seaton was aggressive all match, firing off a match-high five shots, all on goal.
The Tigers did a better job of dictating the terms of the match in the second half, taking a 10-6 edge in shots and a 6-0 advantage in corner kicks overall. Goalie

With the win, the Tigers improve to 5-11 on the season with one match remaining at Oakland University on Nov. 4 at 12 p.m.
