The Salem University Tigers announced the hiring of Tianna Cobb as the new assistant athletic trainer.
Cobb obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in May of 2015 from Baldwin Wallace University with a dual major in Pre-Physical Therapy and Athletic Training, and minored in Biology and Orthopedic and Orthopedic Assessment and Treatment. She is currently working towards her Master of Science degree at West Virginia Wesleyan College, which she is expected to complete in May of 2018.
As a graduate athletic training intern as West Virginia Wesleyan College, Cobb provided preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, and rehabilitation of injuries for football, swimming, women's lacrosse, cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field, and men's soccer.
She performed similar duties for approximately 150 professional football players in The Spring League in the Spring of 2017, and at University of Virginia summer camps in the summer of 2017.
Cobb is a licensed athletic trainer in Ohio and Virginia, and registered in West Virginia and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association.
