Box Score INSTITUTE, W.Va.- The Salem University volleyball team fell to host, West Virginia State University 3-0 on the second day of the Wyndham Garden Classic, Saturday.
The Tigers fell to the Yellow Jackets in three sets (18-25, 13-25, 9-25) dropping Salem to 2-12 while West Virginia State improves to 7-4.
Salem was led by junior
Liane Moser who had a team-high of seven kills, while freshman
Amy Turbak and senior
Kathryne Mathis both notched eleven digs each. Senior
Cassidy Pluta generated eight assists.
The Tigers are set to host Notre Dame (Ohio) and Point Park (Pa.) in a tri-match on Tuesday set for a 3:00 p.m. start on Mike Carey Court.
