Box Score Salem University fell to University of Rio Grande 25-16, 25-12, 25-7 in volleyball action Tuesday at Rio Grande, Ohio. Makhia Hinton led the Tigers with four kills, while Yesenia Munoz and Alaina Weltz added three kills apiece. Elise Valdez led Salem defensively with 13 digs.

The Tigers are idle the remainder of this week before hosting three matches next week. Monday's contest against Glenville State University is "Dig Pink Night" as Salem volleyball helps raise funds and awareness in conjunction with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Donations will be accepted to go towards the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Raffle prizes include gift cards and freebies at area restaurants. Match time is 7 p.m. at T. Edward Davis Gymnasium.
