Box Score Chrislyn Browne scored a goal for the third consecutive match, but a pair of quick goals early in the second half broke the game open as Salem University fell to Shaw University 7-1 in NCAA Division II women's soccer Friday at Raleigh, N.C. Browne became the first Tiger since
Tamara Queiroz last season to score in three straight contests.
Â
The Tigers were down 3-0 when Browne got free for her third goal of the season. Salem had a chance to pull within a goal in the final minute before halftime, but was flagged for offside as the score remained 3-1 at the break.
Â
Shaw extended the lead to 5-1 on goals 21 seconds apart in the 54th minute. The Bears scored again seven minutes later to put the match out of reach.

Chelsea Cordice followed Wednesday's 20-save performance against NCAA II Southeast Region fifth-ranked Wingate University with 10 saves against Shaw. Cordice, who has reached double figures in saves in 11 of 14 matches this season, currently ranks second in the nation with 181 saves.
Â
Friday's contest was a rematch of last Saturday's meeting at Mylan Park in Morgantown. The Tigers played the Bears within 4-2 in the first meeting.
