Glenville, WV- Salem University Men's and Women's Track & Field competed for the first time in 373 days on Sunday. The Tigers traveled to Glenville State for the Brandi Bowen Memorial Invite.
Christopher Spellman led the way for the Tigers taking down two school records, one of them being the open 400 in which he won by a narrow margin.
Spellman won the 400 with a time of 50.03, a personal best. He then came back to close the meet with a gutsy lead off performance in the 4x400 relay. Spellman was joined on the relay by
Jean-Dean Smith,
Xavier Engleton, and
Greg Carr.Â
Keara Wilson-Crockett finished 12th out of 24 in the 100 hurdles, earning herself a spot in the record books.Â
Salem Track & Field will be back in action next Saturday when they travel to West Virginia University for the Stan Romanoski Invite.Â
