Morgantown, WV- Salem University Men's and Women's Track & Field competed at West Virginia University in cold and windy conditions on Friday.
Indira Rauf led the way with two top-5 finishes.
Rauf ran to a third place finish in the 100 meter dash in a time of 13.03, and came back later in the day for a season best in the long jump to take 5th (5.07 meters).
On the men's side,
Greg Carr finished 5th in his 400 hurdles debut, as well as taking 6th in long jump and 8th in triple jump.
Delmar Jeter picked up a 6th place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 12.27 meters.
The Tigers will be back in action next weekend when they co-host with West Virginia Wesleyan. The Jasmine Claggett Memorial Invite will be contested at WVWC, and will the be the first meet in school history that Salem has co-hosted.
