INDIANA, PA- This past weekend Salem's tennis squads traveled out to Indiana, Pennsylvania to take part in the IUP Fall Invitational. The tournament ran for two days and included athletes from Salem, IUP, Mercyhurst, and Morgan State.
Men's Singles:
The Tigers men's squad squared off in nine singles matches over the weekend and compiled a record of 2-7 in those matches. Max Mueller and Alias Hort were both able to take care of business and secure wins against Makkijha Brown and Ameer Muhammad from Morgan State respectively.
Men's Doubles:
Salem proved to be more competitive in the doubles rounds as they went 2-2 against the competition in the four matches played. Pablo Noya and Alias Hort teamed up for a dominant win against Tezas Singh and Athony Parris from Morgan State 6-2. Alessandro Fedeli and Cristonal Munoz squared off in the last men's doubles match of the day against Antonio Santos and Ameer Muhammad from Morgan State and claimed a victory 6-2.
The Tigers will be back in action next week as they head to Davis & Elkins College to take on the Senators on October 8th.
