SALEM, WV - Sophomore Jimmy Cramer (Glendale, California / Burroughs) from the Salem International University baseball team has been named the Male Student-Athlete of the Week for March 4-12, 2017.

Cramer batted .421 (8-for-19) with three runs batted in for the Tigers in seven games this past week. He also scored three runs, worked five walks, and stole 4-of-5 bases for SIU.

He recorded the game-winning hit for the Tigers in the top of the seventh inning of a 7-6 victory against Saint Augustine's University on Saturday (Mar. 4). Cramer also went 2-for-3 at the plate with one RBI and a run scored in the Tigers' 4-2 win against the Falcons on the final-day of the series.

Cramer went 3-for-4 at the plate against Charleston in game one of a twin bill on Friday afternoon (Mar. 10). He reached base 12 times in 19 plate appearances during the seven game stretch for the Tigers (.538 on base percentage).
