Salem University finished 11th out 17 women's teams and 14th out of 16 men's teams as the Tiger men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed in the Pioneer Open Saturday at Marietta. The meet was hosted by Marietta College.

For the second week in a row,
Indira Rauf posted a pair of first-place finishes. Rauf finished first in the 200 meters and won the long jump for the second straight week. She also placed third in the 55 meters.

Greg Carr had the Tigers' top men's finish, placing fifth out of 46 competitors in the long jump.

Salem has competed at Marietta College in each of its first three meets this season. The Tigers return to Ohio next weekend to compete in the Spire Midwest Open, which takes place Friday and Saturday in Geneva, Ohio.
